The United Methodist Women held their annual UMW Christmas Dinner on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Approximately 55 people were in attendance. Mary Dold and Anne Hokanson received Special Recognition pins. Carolyn Maxey held the 2012 Officer Installation Ceremony.
The United Methodist Women's Purpose
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God, to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ,
to develope a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Currently, there are 5 Womens Circles that meet each month.
Joy Circle - "Joyous Potpourri"
First Monday at 7 PM in Swedish Chapel
Wesleyan Circle - "Laughing, Loving, Learning"
First Wednesday at 1 PM - Meet in Member's homes
Mary-Rachel Circle - "Willing Hands"
First Thursday at Noon in Terry Rhine Hall
Dorcas Circle - "Willing Christian Workers"
Second Wednesday at 1 PM in Carl Parish Hall
Elizabeth Circle - "Caring, Sharing, Growing"
Third Friday at Noon in Swedish Chapel
Bring Lunch - Babysitting Provided Upon Request
The UMW Annual Cookie Walk was held Saturday, December 3! Over 700 dozen cookies were for sale! It is always held the first Satuday in December!
