YOUTH MINISTRY
New Experiences Together

The youth ministry at Chesterton United Methodist church is for students in 5th—12th grades.  Our mission is to proclaim the
gospel and to welcome people into the body of Christ, to lead people to a commitment to God through Jesus Christ, to nurture
them in Christian living by various means of grace, and to send them into the world as agents of Jesus Christ.

Sunday School - 9:30 a.m.
Sunday School classes for grades 5 through 12 meet at the Methodist Activity Center (MAC) also known as the NET Youth Center.
*Volunteers to teach Sunday school are always needed.  If you are interested in becoming involved in this ministry - contact Toby Guill (Director of Youth Ministries).

Youth Group
Sundays from 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Whether we are going bowling, doing local mission work, putting together a Christmas play, rehearsing for the Good Friday Service, or just hanging out together ~ youth group is the place to be on Sunday afternoons.
Activities are posted in the weekly bulletins announcement section.  The NET Youth Bulletin Board also lists information on upcoming events and includes sign up sheets for certain activities.
Youth Sundays
Traditionally, the second Sunday of every month is designated as “Youth Sunday”.  The youth assume the responsibilities of greeters, ushers, projectionist, and worship leaders.  The youth also take a special collection called “The Clatter Offering”.  This offering of loose change goes towards the funds needed to send our youth on mission trips during the summer.
Youth interested in being a worship leader, usher, greeter or projectionist, should sign up on the Youth Opportunities Board (Y.O.B.).
